Jesus Christ is our firm foundation
1 Corinthians 3:11 For no one can lay a foundation other than the one which is [already] laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Salvation
The beginning of your journey starts with placing your faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus already did the work on the cross and all who believe in him are made right with God (Romans 10:4). We still have our part to do as well.
Romans 10: 9,10 describes how to be saved.
9. If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.
By believing in Jesus Christ and declaring that God raised him from the dead, you are saved. If you believe and are ready for a new beginning, pray a simple prayer- you can use your own words or use the ones written below.
“Father, I thank you for sending Jesus to die on the cross for my sins. Thank you for raising him on the third day and making a way for me to come to you through faith in him. I am so sorry for sinning against you. I surrender all of me to you. I believe in my heart that Jesus died and rose again and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. I declare with my mouth that Jesus is my lord and saviour. Thank you for eternal life, in Jesus name I pray, amen.”
